My name is Ellie and thank you for visiting my creative corner of the internet :). I am very new to this DIY malarchy, during lockdown 1.0 in England, me and my partner were living in a rental house and frantically saving for a home we could call our own. Feeling frustrated with our inability to ‘edit’ the house we were living in, I took to upcycling our hand-me-down furniture which we had kindly been gifted when we moved into the house – much of it in need of some care and attention.

I fell in love with the idea of giving these old pieces of furniture a new lease of life – something I know my granddad (the ultimate recycler) would approve of no end. DIY and sewing are my 2 main hobbies but I enjoy giving anything creative a try, especially if it involves a tranformation.
